Third Class Learning From Home 29th – 30th June

Hello everyone!

Thank you for all your engagement with Seesaw and Razkids over the past number of weeks. We are very proud of the work you have done at home and you should all be very proud of yourselves.

We have organised a few more activities for you to finish out the school year. We have also put together a reading list for you, following recommendations from your fellow classmates. Logon to seesaw to check them out.

We hope you have a wonderful summer. Take advantage of all Ireland has to offer – walk on the beach, swim, cycle, run, go camping, have a picnic, read in the shade and most importantly have fun! We will see you all again in 4th class!

Violin Project

Unfortunately we didn’t get the opportunity to show off our musical skills at the end of this school year. We were hoping to perform for our families at the Variety Show and at a special concert for parents. Hopefully, next year you will be able to hear us play as we practised very hard during the year.  Thanks Sandra for all your help and well done to all the children in Third Class and Réalt Árás!

3rd Class Learning Grid 22nd-26th June

Hello girls and boys,

Welcome to School Tour Week!

We have chosen San Diego Zoo as our exciting destination. The zoo is located in California, USA, and it is counted as one of the best zoos in the world! It hosts a wide range of animals from all corners of the globe from tigers to Giant Pandas, to crocodiles to snow leopards… and many more.

We hope that you take the time to explore all that this amazing zoo has to offer. Hopefully you will learn lots of interesting new facts along the way!

Some points to note:

●There will be no Maths and English homework assigned this week.

●There will be one Seesaw activity assigned each day for you to complete.

●There is also a Book Share activity to be completed on Seesaw – please submit your response on Monday.

We hope you have a swell time at San Diego Zoo!

3rd Class Working from Home 18th-22nd May

The weather has been very kind to us the past few weeks and it is very important to stay safe while in the sun. This weeks competition is to create a poster to encourage your school community to stay safe in the sun. Please submit your entry by Thursday and the winner will be announced to the school website on Friday. Good Luck!

Caoimhe’s 3rd Class Competition Winner

Hello everyone,

Happy Friday to you all! This weeks competition was to create a selfie sculpture using items from home, these items were to represent something unique or meaningful about you. There were so many imaginative and creative selfie sculptures, well done all!

The winner of this weeks competition with her original and creative selfie sculpture is…

Aimee!! Well done!

Aimee used a blanket as it keeps her warm at night. She chose a hat as she likes to wear it in the summer time. She picked the ninja mask as she loves martial arts and karate, glasses as she needs them for homework and reading as well as her school bag because she misses school and her friends and finally her shoes as she likes the colours and they are comfortable.
