Today during assembly 4th, 5th and 6th class explored ‘being mindful’ by focusing on living and being present in the moment.
Stephen helped us to channel our worries, stresses and any other bothersome thoughts and to leave them behind us by focusing on our breathing. He helped us by using our hands to focus on deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth. This can be helpful in many situations during school and at home to change our thoughts from negative to positive.
Kim and some students from 4th class made a video about ‘What being mindful to us means’. Everyone shared their thoughts, strategies that help them and what they like to do that is mindful. Check out our video to learn more!!
We all learnt that we have our own personal mindful tool kits and we can use them anywhere and anytime
