Caoimhe’s 3rd Class were very busy learning lots of new topics in February. We learnt about toys from the past and from around the world in History and Geography. Pupils made their own projects on toys from around the world,they put so much work and effort in and they turned out amazing.
To celebrate Chinese New Year on the 5th of February, the boys and girls learned all about the story of Chinese New Year and the zodiac. They also made red Chinese New Year lanterns and we were very lucky to have also taken part in a Chinese New Year workshop, where they learned a traditional dance.
Safer internet day was also on the 5th of February, pupils learned about ways to be safe online and about their digital footprint.
STEM week took place in February there was so many different activities taking place each day. Our class worked in groups to construct a strong bridge using recyclable materials, they presented their bridges at the show case on Thursday. They also took part in LEGO challenges and made some wonderful pieces from LEGO. Finally they also learned how to use bee bots and had so much fun with them.
