6th Class Learning from home 22/6/2020 – 26/6/2020

Hi every one!!

it’s ‘Virtual Tour Week’ and we are off to visit ………….

🥁

The Great Barrier Reef!

This week, all of our activities will be based on our school tour. You will be creating a project all about the Great Barrier Reef using Adobe Spark. Every day there will be a new ‘chapter’ to add to your project which you will then submit at the end of the week. As usual you will find the home learning grid below and all the details you need in the seesaw tasks which have been sent to you. Remember; do what you can manage, only complete one task per day so that you can take your time with the activities and it is your best work you are submitting and finally.. Have Fun!

Stephen’s Class – Challenge Winner

Good morning everyone,

This week our class challenge was to design a poster for the variety show. As usual, the standard was very high and there were lots of excellent posters submitted.

But my winner this week went to a girl who created a poster with vivid colours, a slick design, detailed drawings and it was brilliantly executed. Congratulations Ayrin!👏🏽🏆

Thank you to everyone who submitted a poster!👍🏼

Stephen.

Stephen’s Class – Weekly Challenge Winner

Good morning all,

This week our weekly challenge was a Masterchef competition! The pupils in my class had to record themselves showing how to make a dish of their choice. Now, I know I say this every week, but I found it extremely difficult to decide on a winner this week! The standard was so high and everyone who sent in a video clearly put so much effort into in, that it was really difficult to have to pick a winning video!

There were three videos which were slightly better than the rest, because they best followed the task instructions. Ayrin made lovely churros, and her instructions were very clear. Amartya made tasty looking chicken tika skewers and he showed off all his technical nous with he brilliantly crafted video.

But after much deliberation, and consultation with Laura, we decided that this video (below) was the challenge champion this week. As you can see, this pupil speaks confidently and clearly, her instructions are easy to follow, she has fun actions in there too, she lists all the ingredients and utensils needed, she has tip for when you should be doing certain tasks…..and she remembers to mention the import of cleaning up when you’re finished, which is so important! Congratulations, a very professional and polished video.👏🏽
